Head Coach - Women's Lacrosse - Franciscan

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the overall administration of the Women's
Lacrosse Team, including supervision of assistant coaches; team
manager; player development; tactics and technical framework.
This includes all pre-season, in-season and post-season
activities necessary for the development of the student athlete.
Maintain proper spiritual atmosphere in congruence with the
University mission. Must participate in annual coaches' retreat
and other mandatory department programming needs such as
business meetings, commissioning masses, etc. Responsible for
conducting the program according to all NCAA Division III, AMCC
(Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference) and FUS rules and
regulations. Must represent Franciscan women's lacrosse at all
AMCC women's lacrosse coaching functions. Responsible for
women's lacrosse budget, match schedule, official scheduling,
fundraising and sponsorship opportunities; must be liaison for
women's lacrosse prospects; purchase and maintain all women's
lacrosse inventory. Is primary women's lacrosse rep for Game Day
supervision at FUS home events. Administrate, organize and
advertise FUS lacrosse camps as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree required. Master's degree preferred. Must have
a clear understanding of and be committed to the NCAA Division
III philosophy and the role of athletics within a Catholic,
private, liberal arts University. Should have a record of
successful coaching experience. Prior coaching experience at the
collegiate level is highly desirable. Must be able to work,
communicate and develop a rapport with students, parents,
alumni, faculty, departmental staff, administration and the
general public. Candidate must be supportive of and committed to
the Franciscan philosophy of sport as a means to student
development.
