The freshman helped power the Panthers to a sweep of
Pitt-Greensburg in the first round of the AMCC tournament, going 3
for 6 for the day and hitting .583 (7-12) with 5 runs scored and 2
RBI on the week. His efforts helped extend Pitt-Bradford's
win streak to 9 going into the championship round. |
McCracken went the distance in a 4-0 shutout over Pitt-Greensburg
in the first round of the AMCC tournament. He limited the
Bobcats to just 4 hits and 3 walks, while striking out 7.
Pitt-Bradford racked up 4 more wins to boost their unbeaten string
to 9. |
Best of the Rest
Lake Erie OF Rocky Pfisterer hit .500 on
the week, and led the team to their first AMCC tournament
appearance with a sweep of PS-Altoona; P Dan Mason got the
playoff win over PS-Altoona, shutting out the Lions for 5.2
innings and striking out 4...Frostburg St. 2B Joe Clark
went 2-2 with 2 RBI in a win over Villa Julie; P Trevor
Conner got the decision in a rain-shortened game...PS-Behrend
C Adam Martin was 6-10 with 4 RBI, including the
game-winner vs. Fredonia State; P Ben Cain earned a pair of
saves in short relief in wins over Fredonia, allowing no runs, 2
hits and fanning 4 in 3.1 IP...PS-Altoona 2B R.J. Barnard
broke the school's single season doubles record with a 2-bagger in
a loss to Lake Erie.
