PENN STATE BEHREND EXPECTED
TO RECAPTURE AMCC WOMEN'S
CROSS COUNTRY TITLE
 


Penn State Behrend is the AMCC coaches' near-unanimous choice to earn their second conference title in women's cross country, while Frostburg State University, which has won seven of the past eight championships, was a strong choice for second place, followed by Penn State Altoona.  The Behrend Lions last won the title in 2001.

Preseason Runner of the Year honors were awarded to Penn State Behrend senior Jessica Knapp (McDowell HS/Erie, PA), 2003's AMCC Runner of the Year and a member of the All-Mideast Region Team for her performance at the NCAA Regional meet.

The AMCC championship meet will be hosted by Frostburg State University on Saturday, October 30.
