Novak hit .600 to start the season, going 15-25 at the plate in a 4-1 week for the Redhawks.  He smashed 6 doubles and 2 home runs to drive in 17 runs and score 10 times himself, while striking out just once.  He was also 3-4 in stolen base attempts.  Defensively, Novak accounted for 18 assists, 8 put-outs and turned 3 double plays.

Zamiskie logged a win and 2 saves over the spring break schedule for the Behrend Lions.  He threw 4 innings of relief ball against Elizabethtown, striking out 6; retired one batter in 2/3 innings vs. Westminster; and pitched 2.1 innings (3 Ks, 0 BB, 2 runs) to defeat Manhattanville in a 21-14 slugfest.

PS-Behrend 3B Dustin Dubensky is on an 8 game hit streak, including 6 doubles to set a new school record and counting (43) for career doubles...Pitt-Bradford 2B Derek Smith hit .571 (12-21) with 7 RBI and 3 extra base hits to help the Panthers to a 3-2 week; FR Mike Miraglia earned a complete game win over Swarthmore in his first collegiate start, allowing just 4 hits and sitting down 5...Mt. Aloysius SS Bryan Nolan hit .563 (9-16) and was a perfect 10-10 in SBA, scoring 6 runs in a 2-3 week for the Mounties; SO Mike Godissart threw 5.2 innings and struck out 5 in a win over Washington...Hilbert SO Nick Sherman went the distance to defeat New Paltz, allowing no hits, no earned runs, sitting down 15 and walking 8 in an 8-1 win...Frostburg St. INF Rich Schuler went 3-5 with 2 RBI in a 13-8 win over Mary Washington; JR Britton Quayle got the win...Medaille OF Jeffrey Cox hit .611 with 5 RBI in a 3-3 week for the Mavs; JR Matt Dunford struck out 6 and allowed no earned runs in a win over Bluffton...PS-Altoona SS/OF Jimmy Baum had 5 RBI in 4 hits in 11 at-bats for the 1-2 Lions; FR Dan Colavincenzo fanned 3 in a win over Bethany Lutheran...Pitt-Greensburg 1B Craig Huhn hit .400 (4-10) in a weather-shortened week for the 1-2 Bobcats; SR Paul Altmyer threw a complete game to take down Kings College, scattering 5 hits, striking out 4 and allowing 1 run..
